Ice Cream better than breakfast cereal for a diet?

It is. Because i looked at the nutritional values for both here is how they register
ice cream 14 carbs
breakfast cereal 45 carbs!
ice cream 14 grams of sugar
breakfast cereal 20 grams of sugar
ice cream 150 calories a serving
breakfast cereal 190 calories a serving not counting the milk you add!

Am I missing something or is it better to eat ice cream for breakfast while on a diet not considering vitamins and so fourth just as far as weight loss goes?
Raisin Bran Crunch is what I am considering against Breyers Butter Pecan Ice Cream.

Your missing a few (very important) things.

1) Carbs: ice cream is all sugar carbs, cereal may have sugar but also fiber carbs. Sugar makes you fat, fiber gives you energy.

2) Calories: ice cream calories are almost all from fat & sugar. Cereal, mostly sugar. Low sugar cereals will have fewer calories, but everything you eat has calories.

Sugar and fat are more responsible for America getting fat than everyone getting lazy.

Yea I read that in a magazine as well!
But I really don’t think it will be better than cereal. Ice cream will have absoloutely loads more fat in it than cereal and cereal will probably give you more energy. You can try ice cream for breakfast if you want, but I doubt if you would lose any weight.
No doubt it will taste much yummier though :P

For one thing, you are looking at a not very healthy beakfast cereal. There are much healthier cereals out there.

Also, "light" does not always translate to "healthy". The cereal probably has more fiber and vitamins, no?(most do anyway) Something that has 100 calories and almost no nutritional value is not healthier than something with 250 calories and fiber, protein, vitamins, antioxidants, etc.

Edit: Oh, I didn’t see the second part of your question. I suppose, in theory, if you didn’t take witamins or anything into consideration, you could lose weight more with that ice cream than with that particular cereal.
